Islands
An island is land surrounded by water. Here are a couple of activities for you to do as we study landforms.

Where's Gilligan?

1. Gilligan lived on a deserted island for years (at least the show has been on for years!). But since his rescue he's decided to spend the rest of his life visiting islands, looking for other castaways. Can you follow Gilligan on his journey (just in case he gets in trouble again)?

Label these islands on your world map.

What's the Scoop?

2. Ice cream is a real treat on some of these islands. But there is also much more to the islands than just ice cream. Choose an island that you are interested in and 'get the scoop' on it. Share it with the class by using the laptop connected to the projector. All you have to do is find a good website about the island. Read the information about the island, find some interesting facts, and get comfortable maneuvering through the website. Be ready to present Sept. 15th and 16th. That's all! Keep it simple.
